Professional Development

In addition to numerous college visits every year, I attend conferences, including the National Association of College Admissions Counseling, Western Association of College Admissions Counseling, Higher Education Consultants Association, UC Counselor Conference, California State University Counselor Conference, USC Counselor Conference, College Board and ACT counselor workshops, and many other professional development meetings, so that I can bring my clients the most up-to-date information about college admission.

Publications

I have written more than 200 published articles about college admission. My columns appear in The Acorn, a community newspaper delivered to over 100,000 families in Los Angeles County and Ventura County, and in The Record, a daily newspaper published in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Other Relevant Experience

I give presentations at high schools, college fairs, libraries, community group meetings and test preparation companies throughout the Los Angeles area, on all aspects of college admission, including summer programs, essay writing, and what families need to know about college admission today.

I am an instructor in the UCLA Certificate Program in College Counseling.

In addition, I spent seven years providing SAT preparation in the Philadelphia area.

Distance counseling also available for students outside the Los Angeles area.
